    The free education policy from Grades 1 to 7 and the re-entry policies for girls who get pregnant have increased access to education in the province up to 82 percent. The percentage of those that are illiterate is very high and the women folk represent the greater part of it. The government’s provision of school requisites, rehabilitation of schools and staff houses are the main focus for the province.

    OBJECTIVES AND STRATEGIC ACTIVITIES

    To improve the quality of education in the Catholic institutions by 2017

    1. Coordinate operations of schools[1] 2. Facilitate infrastructure development

    Objective 2:
    To increase access to education for orphans and vulnerable children by 2800 in the Diocese by 2017

    1. Provide educational support for OVC
    2. Provide medical and psychosocial support for OVC
